In addition to academic activities (Graduateship Programme, DLTC Programme, Certificate Courses, Quiz competition at school levels, Training Seminars, and Workshops on various aspects of Chemistry), several social activities are conducted for members and students of the College of Chemical Sciences.

Annual Christmas Party

The Annual Christmas Party was held on 21st December 2007 at the SLAAS Auditorium.  The party was organized by the Social Committee of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon.  Level 1 students of the Graduateship Program took a leading role in organizing the Christmas Party.

Navarathri Pooja

The Navarathri Programme organized by the level 2 students was held in October 2007 for the second consecutive year at the PPGL Siriwardena Auditorium. Students of all religious belief supported this program.

Sports Days

Students vs Staff and other Members cricket match and several other events were held at the Sports day held in February 2008.

Freshers Night

Freshers Night was organized by level 2 students for the 29th Batch of new comers of the Institute in February 2008.  Performance by students included singing, music by orchestra and dancing etc.
